The difference between DC motor and AC motor
The main difference between DC motor and AC motor is the current type, operation principle, structure and speed regulation performance. DC motor uses direct current, good speed regulation performance, suitable for high-precision speed regulation occasions; and AC motor uses alternating current, complex structure, poor speed regulation performance, suitable for household appliances and industrial equipment and other occasions. The choice of motor needs to be based on specific application requirements and scenarios.
Why are alternators more common?
Alternators are more common than DC generators, mainly because alternators are more efficient in the transmission process. Since the AC signal has less signal attenuation during long-distance transmission, it can maintain a higher voltage over a long distance. In contrast, a direct-current signal has a large signal attenuation during power transmission, and thus it is difficult to perform power transmission over a long distance.
Are all generators AC? What is the difference between AC and DC generators
Both the rotor and the stator of an AC generator belong to electromagnets. When current is passed through the stator coil, it creates a rotating magnetic field within the stator coil.
